01/05/2012 - £10,000 Money Making Ideas Competition Launched for UK Entrepreneurs
The Money Making Ideas Competition has been set up to reward one entrepreneur, helping them to achieve their aspirations of starting-up or growing a business.
The competition was inspired by research which reveals that 24% of small business owners have missed a growth opportunity due to a lack of accessible finance.
The successful applicant will win £10,000 of capital support to invest in their company. The winner will also receive mentoring from a panel of some of the UK’s most successful entrepreneurs and annual memberships to Business Circuit and the Adam Street Private Members club.
Small business owners and sole traders aged 18 and over who currently running or looking to start-up their own business in the UK may apply.
Speaking about the launch of the initiative, Paul Aitken, founder of borro, the competition sponsor, said:
"We work closely with the entrepreneurial and small business community, where access to finance is crucial to business development and driving innovation.
"The Money Making Ideas competition will encourage the ideas of entrepreneurs and ensure those ideas become a reality."
The programme opens to applications on 10 May 2012. No deadlines have been set at this stage. Further details will be reported once they become available.
