23/04/2012 - Marches Local Enterprise Partnership Development Fund
The Marches Local Enterprise Partnership Development Fund is now open to applications.
The aims of the Fund are to help steer investment:
- To generate economic activity in the short-term by addressing immediate infrastructure and site constraints and promote the delivery of jobs and housing.
- To allow local enterprise partnerships to prioritise the infrastructure they need, empowering them to deliver their economic strategies.
The scheme is worth £8.1 million in total. No minimum or maximum levels of funding are specified in the scheme guidelines.
Funding will provided in the form of a loan and will be subject to interest charges. Repayment timelines to the fund and interest charges will vary, but greater weight will be given to schemes that can complete payments in less than five years.
Assistance is available to provide upfront capital funding for physical infrastructure.
Applications are accepted from local authorities, the private sector and other potential applicants in the Marches area (Herefordshire, Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin).
The deadline for receipt of applications is 2 May 2012.
