17/08/2012 - Round Five of ERDF South East is Open to Applications

The European Regional Development Fund - South East is now accepting applications to its fifth round of funding.

The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) is seeking outline applications for the following five specification areas:

  • Climate Change.
  • Environmental/Green Businesses.
  • Renewable Energy.
  • Sustainable Transport.
  • Waste and Landfill Reduction.

Up to £6 million of ERDF will be made available for this round.

Any public, private or third-sector organisation that is legally formed could be eligible to bid for ERDF funding, including:

  • Private sector.
  • Government departments.
  • Environmental bodies.
  • Voluntary and private sectors.
  • Members of the business community.

Projects must be 12-30 months in length.

Applicants will be expected to provide match funding of 50%. Projects of a minimum total value of £800,000 (£400,000 of ERDF match funding) and a maximum total value of £12 million (£6 million of ERDF match funding) will be considered.

The deadline for outline applications is Thursday, 27 September 2012 (12 noon).
