03/05/2012 - Interactive Media Awards (BIMA) - 2012 Round Open (UK)
The annual BIMA Awards are renowned as the most prestigious new media competition in Europe, setting the standard for the industry, celebrating creative excellence and craftsmanship within digital media.
The Awards are open to any interactive business, project or digital marketing activity in the UK market that has launched, been re-developed or shown substantial, measurable progress during the judging eligibility period (which runs from August 2011 to July 2012). Entry fees apply.
The 2012 Award categories break down into the following three groups:
- Sectors - For the Sector Awards, the judges will be looking to reward the strategy, innovation, creativity and effectiveness of entries where the brand or business operates in a specific business category. Projects that make intelligent and competitive use of interactive media and digital platforms in any and every format are encouraged to enter.
- Discipline - With the Discipline Awards, the judges will be looking to reward projects that excel in strategy, innovation, creativity and impact in specific disciplines of digital. Projects that make intelligent and competitive use of digital disciplines are encouraged to enter. Evidence of impact should be provided.
- Premium Awards - The sub categories under this main category recognise excellent examples of interactive craft. The winners will be chosen from all the entries received for the main awards, so it is not possible to enter them directly. In effect, it means that every project entered has up to 12 chances of winning on the night. However, if applicants wish to be considered for one of the awards in particular, a note should be made on the original entry.
The deadline for entries to for the 2012 Awards is 11 June 2012.
