Extended Description

Kirklees Council and CO2Sense provide the Kirklees Environment Vouchers Scheme. The grant is available through funding from the European Regional Development.

The aim of the scheme is to assist in making long term energy efficiency savings and help in reducing carbon emissions.

Latest Information

The provider has advised that the scheme has now closed for the 2012/13 year although it hopes to reopen it in April 2013. Further details will be reported in due course

Key Criteria

Assistance is available to businesses in Kirklees.

To apply for the grant the business must meet ERDF eligibility criteria of employing less than 250 employees, having a turnover of less than €50 million, not being 25% owned by other businesses, and having received less than €200,000 in state aid in the three years prior to funding.

Eligible Expenditure

This grant can be used to fund energy efficiency measures, including the following:

  • Energy efficient lighting.
  • Insulation.
  • Heating.
  • Destratification fans.
  • Replacement of older appliances or machinery with energy efficient models.
  • Installation of inverters on motors.

Match Funding Restrictions

At least 50% of the necessary project costs must be provided as match funding.
