04/07/2012 - Launch of Scheme for Green Businesses in Kirklees
The aim of the 2012 Kirklees Green Business Grant Scheme is to assist in making long term energy efficiency savings and help in reducing carbon emissions.
A grant of up to £8,000 is available per business (subject to the business providing 50% match funding).
This grant can be used to fund energy efficiency measures, including the following:
- Energy efficient lighting
- Insulation
- Heating
- Destratification fans
- Replacement of older appliances or machinery with energy efficient models
- Installation of inverters on motors
Assistance is available to businesses in Kirklees.
To apply for the grant the business must meet ERDF eligibility criteria of employing less than 250 employees, having a turnover of less than €50 million, not being 25% owned by other businesses, and having received less than €200,000 in state aid in the three years prior to funding.
Applications for assistance can be made at any time.
