The Bexley Business Awards aim to celebrate the local business community and recognise businesses that are achieving excellence in a range of different ways.
The winners of the Awards will receive a trophy, recognition in the business community, and publicity in the local press.
Assistance is available to businesses in Bexley.
There are 11 different categories and companies can enter as many categories that they fit the criteria for. The 11 Awards are as follows:
- Best SME Business.
- Best Online Business.
- Best Business for Customer Service.
- Best Business for Training and Development.
- Business Innovation Award.
- Commitment to the Community.
- Best Green Business.
- Best Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism Business.
- Retailer of the Year.
- Entrepreneur of the Year.
- Best New Business.
A 12th category - Business of the Year - is chosen as the overall winner by a panel of judges, from the 11 category winners.
The 2012 deadline is 26 October 2012.
Leader of the London Borough of Bexley, Councillor Teresa O’Neill, who spoke at the launch event, encouraged companies to enter. She said: "The awards give us the opportunity to reward vital contributions so many businesses make to our borough – providing jobs for local people and creating a strong resilient economy".
