18/07/2012 - Scotland Home Renewables Loans - £5 Million Boost Raises Loans to £10,000
The Scotland Home Renewables Loan Scheme is an interest free loan programme designed to help homeowners in Scotland install renewable heat and electricity generating systems in their homes.
Interest free loans of up to £2,000 are currently available, covering 100% of the installation costs. From 1 August 2012, the maximum loan limit will be increased to £10,000.
The loans have a repayment period of up to eight years and can be used towards the costs of purchasing renewable energy equipment, including biomass boilers, heat pumps, solar and micro-wind turbines.
Homeowners in Scotland may apply.
Loans are fund-limited and operate on a first-come first-served basis.
